More Jagger Photography lovin’ on the blog today. We’ve featured their awesome wedding photography from time to time and I love that their weddings seem to encompass exactly the types of weddings we love to feature on this little wedding blog. They’re raw, earthy, charming and usually DIY! They seem to shoot wedding after wedding that we just adore. This Rhode Island rustic wedding is no exception. Lisa and Keith’s wedding is youthful, unassuming and adorable. Lisa is really a special bride in my books. Not only is she wearing the most natural makeup (if any??) that I’ve seen in awhile but, between picking her own centerpiece flowers, the DIY pinwheels mixed into the bouquets and the BOOTS…well, she’s just a cutie pie. Period. Stay tuned for more goodness from this wedding. It’s a three parter!

Austin Rustic Barn Wedding

You may not believe me but I really don’t plan this stuff…this is our second Texas rustic barn wedding of the week here at La Belle Bride and honestly, it just works out this way! Today’s awesome real wedding that’s gracing our little wedding blog is from Jake Holt Photography. Jake sends us the best of Texas photography and the cutest of brides and grooms, doesn’t he? Kristen, today’s bride, is a spitting image of Serena from Gossip Girl, isn’t she? In my books this comes as the greatest of compliments since I think Blake Lively is gorgeous. Some tidbits from today’s rustic wedding that I’m in love with: The lovely lace tablecloths, the myriads of candles and…finally one word: Louboutins.

Kristen’s story: We’re pretty laid back and country, and love to be surrounded by God’s creation-so that is what inspired us to have our wedding somewhere in the beautiful Hill Country. For colors, I wanted them to just be neutral, natural colors that were simple yet beautiful. For the reception, we wanted it to be a party! We love to dance, as well as our family and friends..so Honeybrowne playing live for us was perfect!

Planning the wedding was fun, deciding details, etc….but it was pretty stressful too! Kristen White, who just parted ways with Belle of the Ball and started her own company, Frills, was amazing! She made life a lot easier-especially when I lived south of Houston and all the vendors are from Austin.

I surprised the groom with a live cigar roller. It was definitely a hit! There was always a crowd of people just hovered around him –and I’ve still gotten requests to order the cigars they were rolling that day.

The day was, cliché enough, one of the best days of my life that I will have no problem remembering for the rest of my life!!! We wanted a laid-back party with our close friends and beloved family and that is what we got! Everyone had a blast! It had been storming all week and was supposedly a 60% chance of thunderstorms that day-and with lots of prayer it cleared up to a perfect, beautiful day-with a gorgeous sunset! The best “vibe” of our wedding was knowing God was there!

One of my favorite parts was our getaway car-it was an old Chevy…we asked if they would take us all the way back to the house we rented and the drive back, under the stars, on a blanket-with just my new husband and I staring up at the peaceful stars was priceless. It was so quiet and peaceful-we drove along the river the whole way…it was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

UK Barn Wedding – Classic Meets Rustic

A rustic barn wedding set in scenic Herfordshire Countryside. Sounds like something out of a Jane Austen movie, right? Think of this as the modern, rustic take on a gorgeous English wedding held at a historic 17th century farm. Twin Bury Farm looks so cool! And Michelle and Steve, our bride and groom, pulled off such an amazing fusion of classic and rustic style. That bouquet is especially scrumptious. It’s been starring at me all morning. It’s floral perfection! Thank you to the talented Wesley Hort for pulling some seriously artistic photos out of his photography hat. He is one of our favs over here at La Belle Bride!

Los Angeles Sweetheart Engagement Shoot

My Friday is getting off to a bit of a rainy start. Humph. Nothing to do really but put up a sweet Los Angeles, California engagement shoot and sit here and be jealous of Cali’s gorgeous weather. This shoot was brought to us by Elizabeth Kitchens, a sweetheart of a photographer with a boat load of artistic style. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (cuz this is my blog and I can), I love engagement shoots taken across a city. Different places, different hangouts. Me likey.

Harvard Real Wedding with a Plum Wedding Dress!

We’re gettin’ studious today, peeps! Thanks to Shang Chen, photographer extraordinaire, we’re soaking in a sweet Cambridge, Massachusetts held at the beautiful Harvard Faculty Club (PS Mom, this is the closest I’m getting to attending Harvard, right here). Luci and Owen, our bride and groom, offer some seriously refreshing wedding ideas for today’s bride. It’s not often that bridal blogs see colored wedding dresses, never mind plum ones! And isn’t it intensely cool? Literally drooling over it.
