Nevada Rustic Wedding Wonder

September 27, 2011 in California Wedding, Rustic Wedding by Chantale

Sometimes I have to keep my love for rustic weddings tamed. Afterall, we have a ton of submissions from classic weddings, vintage weddings, eclectic “anthroplogie” weddings…but I still have to hold true to all our rustic lovers out there. When this Truckee, Nevada County wedding hit my inbox, I was thrilled. Such a picturesque part of California. And we’re getting a taste of its beauty today via the stunning photos taken by Jacqueline Photography. A bit of a nod to DIY style with this wedding, as the bride and groom’s mothers arranged the bouquets. They look wonderful! Gotta love moms

Wedding DIYing from Tennessee

September 15, 2011 in Rustic Wedding, Tennessee Wedding by Chantale

There are some days where the photographer’s description of an adorable wedding is too perfect to elaborate on. Today is one of those days. JoPhoto is gracing our page today with this awesome wedding from Maryville, Tennessee. And here’s their perfect account from this DIY wedding day: This is an eco-chic wedding that was jam packed with DIY details, including bird houses, wood table centerpieces with mason jars filled with bird seed and tea lights, burlap table runners, silverware tied with twine, a “just married” banner draped across the head table, personalized hand fans for all the ceremony guests, and on and on and on! Oh, and be sure to check out their wedding cake with the hand made love bird cake topper on the wood cake stand too! At the end of their wedding celebration, all the guests went out into the field at Smithview Pavilion and lit and released Chinese sky lanterns. It was an amazing send off, and a fabulous ending to their wedding day!

Classic Connecticut Wedding Beauty

September 13, 2011 in Rustic Wedding by Chantale

I’m really excited about today’s wedding. There’s a certain special combination of factors that get me really amped up for weddings. Talented, exciting vendors. Gorgeous decor and florals. Flawless photography. A charming, stylish couple. And a warm, easy vibe to the whole day. Throw in a dog with a floral wreath around his neck and I’m yours. Forever. I love the subtle rustic, all-natural theme to this Connecticut wedding. Catie and Mike, what a seamlessly stunning day! This is exactly the sort of event you can expect when you combine the creativity and enthusiasm of Brooke Allison Photography with the aesthetic genius of Candice from Jubilee Events.  What a team!  Soak up all the juicy details, my friends.  There are a lot of them!

Georgetown Beauty {Washington Wedding}

September 7, 2011 in Rustic Wedding, Washington Weddings by Chantale

I’m picky when it comes to veils. Truth be told, I don’t throw down veil compliments very often. Yes, I love birdcage veils but I’m not typically all gaga over longer veils. Today, is an exception. Big time. I love this Georgetown bride’s veil! It’s perfect on her. Chad and Nicole got married at the Georgetown Ballroom and were SMART enough to enlist the services of Angela and Evan as photographers. As per usual, I gush about Angela and Evan. They’re AMAZINGLY talented, but also the nicest people. What a great combo which it comes to your wedding vendor! Angela and Evan are also part of our Top 10 Vendor Guide. Because they’re THAT good.

North Carolina Wedding Charm

August 30, 2011 in North Carolina Weddings, Rustic Wedding by Chantale

The radest grooms-girl outfit EVER. Yup. Pay close attention because that’s what you’re about to see!  Along with beautiful rustic details, fresh outdoor wedding photos, and amazing lounge ideas for your wedding.  Because that’s important, remember!  Having great locations at your reception for chitchat and lounging.  Particularly important for grandma and other older loved ones at your wedding.  They like a comfy place to pow wow.  I’m so impressed by the quality of imagery we’re seeing from Brett Arthur Weddings.  He’s captured the vibrant beauty of this wedding perfectly.  Awesome!

A bit about this wedding from our vendors: A real southern spring wedding with an outdoor ceremony and barn dinner and reception. Morgan and Seth were married at Shady Wagon Farms in New Hill, NC. Along with great vendors, friends and family helped Morgan and Seth create DIY touches that brought a personal feel to the wedding. How could we forget the shrimp and grits or the gelato bar! Morgan and Seth were married by Seth’s father. Seth also included his sister on his side of the bridal party alongside his brother. Rather than having a cake, they had a Krispy Kreme doughnuts pyramid.
