Vintage Wedding – DIY Ceremony Ideas and Games

November 10, 2010 in North Carolina Weddings, Rustic Wedding, Vintage Wedding, wedding photos by Chantale

You missed it, didn’t you. The dress. You missed it, right? I know. I did too.  I kinda got a bit panicky when I didn’t see it for awhile.  I think I’m obsessed with this dress, guys.  Which is fine since I have so many lovely wedding photos to drool over.

There’s somewhat of nautical feel to Brooke and Ryan’s ceremony decor – the rope “arch”, photos by the lighthouse – so pretty.  And how fun that they had a bean bag toss game!  I especially took a liking to the record backdrop.  So much so that I think I’m going to duplicate a similar idea for a wedding show La Belle Bride is sponsoring this winter.  Yay!

Special thanks and high fives to Jagger Photography for continuing to blow our minds with the cuteness and artistry of their photos.  MORE TO COME IN PART THREE!  So many details you’re going to DIE for!

Vintage Wedding – Indie Bride Inspiration

November 10, 2010 in North Carolina Weddings, Vintage Wedding by Chantale

LIKE WHOA. Listen, you’ll have to sit down for this one. And I’m not being dramatic. This is a full on, crazy amazing, look-at-that-wicked-dress, vintage wedding feature.  It’s just about the best day ever for me.  Seriously.  Vintage wedding goodness coming OUT. OF. EVERYWHERE.  And of course you shouldn’t be surprised to hear that Brooke and Ryan’s wedding comes care of the photographic stylings of Jagger Photography.  Their weddings are always out of control.

Let’s talk about this dress – AKA “The Mullet Dress” (as affectionately called by Jagger and friends) – it’s insanity.  Pure fashionable insanity.

Then…THEN, there’s the shoes.  The ruffled shoe.  Like, is she kidding us?  Can it get cuter?  Pfft.  It’s hopeless.  It just can’t be cuter.

Of course when it comes to a killer wedding like this, I’m going to have MYRIADS and MYRIADS of wedding photos for you.  So stay tuned for part two and three from this vintage wedding!

North Carolina Vintage Engagement Shoot

October 28, 2010 in Engagement Shoots, North Carolina Weddings, Vintage Wedding by Chantale

You can try not to like vintage engagement shoots but really your efforts are in vain. With great futility you’ll try to reason with yourself that vintage accessories and props aren’t that cute but eventually you’ll just concede defeat: vintage engagement shoots are the bomb. And that’s why Megan and Adam a) look like they’re having so much fun and b) are adorable. Because vintage engagement shoots rule. Okay, they’re also having fun because they’re madly in love and about to get married, BUT it’s also because of how cute their vintage shoot is!  Lauren from Hilton Pittman Photography is the creative lens behind today’s shoot.  Her talent, all these lovely props and the smiles from Megan and Adam – it’s all making the week go by a bit smoother, isn’t it?  Enjoy!

North Carolina Engagement Shoot – So Indie It Hurts

September 30, 2010 in Engagement Shoots, North Carolina Weddings, Vintage Wedding, Wedding Blog by Chantale

Oh for pete’s sake. I mean there are just times where it can’t get cuter. Where the couple looks like they just popped out of Urban Outfitters ad and landed in love, engaged and in my inbox. Thus is the case with these North Carolina engagement photos by Hilary Mercer Photography. They’re so indie and well….perfectly indie. In fact I’ve noticed a trend with North Carolina engagements – they rule.  But Joie and Cody are especially yummy.  Joie’s style is so kitch and vintage.  Joie – we can go shopping together ANY day.  **wink**

North Carolina Classic Wedding – Providence Country Club

August 16, 2010 in North Carolina Weddings by Chantale

Oh Monday. Thank you for being sunny and lovely today.  And thank you Andrew Bryant for this classic Charlotte, North Carolina wedding that is so elegant and soothing.  The Providence Country Club is one heck of a gorgeous North Carolina wedding venue.  I have a “thing” for photos of brides in bars.  Sounds trashy but clearly these photos prove the opposite to be true.  I love the contrast and casual feel of a bride all gussied up and chillin’ in a bar.  And let’s face it, a wee drink before the big “I do” never hurt anyone…
