OF COURSE we mean pretty wedding color “blues”! Blue is coming back! We’re seeing a rise in blue accents in some super adorable weddings. Case in point, Sarah and Matt’s pretty North Carolina barn wedding. Brett Arthur is our photographer today and he certainly threw down all the stops to make sure this wedding was fully, creatively and beautifully documented. Here’s Brett with some words on this wedding:

Sarah & Matt’s lovely Spring wedding took place in Chapel Hill, NC at a quaint B & B called Rock Quarry Farm. This couple braved the treacherous weather that rolled through the state on 4.16.11 and despite having to batten down the hatches for the first part of the day, it was apparent that neither wind, rain or tornadoes could dampen the spirits of these two lovebirds. Thank heavens the skies did clear and the sun shown through right on time for their walk down the aisle. We loved the adorable story behind the little bride and groom rubber duckies. Sarah is an elementary school teacher and had often brought home the classroom pets, which were ducks, during holidays. While the guys where enduring the storm, they decided to kill some time with coloring books they found and Matt had colored in some ducks for Sarah. It was one of those “little things in life” moments and it was too cute, especially when he gave them to her after they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. The personalized details and naturally lit images, combined with high spirits all around, made for a truly amazing day that started out a little drab but turned out to be beautiful!

The radest grooms-girl outfit EVER. Yup. Pay close attention because that’s what you’re about to see! Along with beautiful rustic details, fresh outdoor wedding photos, and amazing lounge ideas for your wedding. Because that’s important, remember! Having great locations at your reception for chitchat and lounging. Particularly important for grandma and other older loved ones at your wedding. They like a comfy place to pow wow. I’m so impressed by the quality of imagery we’re seeing from Brett Arthur Weddings. He’s captured the vibrant beauty of this wedding perfectly. Awesome!

A bit about this wedding from our vendors: A real southern spring wedding with an outdoor ceremony and barn dinner and reception. Morgan and Seth were married at Shady Wagon Farms in New Hill, NC. Along with great vendors, friends and family helped Morgan and Seth create DIY touches that brought a personal feel to the wedding. How could we forget the shrimp and grits or the gelato bar! Morgan and Seth were married by Seth’s father. Seth also included his sister on his side of the bridal party alongside his brother. Rather than having a cake, they had a Krispy Kreme doughnuts pyramid.

You guys are going to go bonkers for this wedding. Literally. We’re talking about the cutest wedding story. The coolest bride and groom. Stunning photography by Anna Naphtali Photography . And the raddest indie, DIY, vintage wedding EVER. I’m literally ga-ga over it (Think: drooling, not p-p-p-p-pokerface). And I’m confident you will be too! Meet Ashlee & James. They’re musicians who formed a band called Matrimony and well…it was self prophetic. Ashlee and James are now married. And as can be suspected of a musician couple, their wedding was very musical and unique. The groomsmen even played different instruments down the aisle to form a beautiful processional chorus. Amazing. Even more amazing are all the juicy DIY details from this North Carolina vintage wedding. Check out the poms, the old books and all the delicious melon, pink and mint green colors. SO vintage. I die. So will you.

Hi Chantale,
How does the top 10 work? Is it a paid placement? Do you have a media kit for advertising I can see? I’m interested.
This wedding has not been featured on any other wedding blog (but my photography blog). I have submitted it to several, but you are the first to respond quickly so I’ll go with you! I am not familiar with your blog is it newer? I like it, especially your layout design.
So what do you need from me exactly for the post?
Here is the full vendor list, however this was a very DIY event, and none of the vendors have sites except the photography & photo styling.
The full vendor list:
Event Planner & Stylist: Ginger Hussy
Cupcakes: Megan Hussy
Venue: Merle Watson Stage
DIY Projects: Bride Ashlee Brown & Event Planner Ginger Hussy
What would you like to hear from the bride? I can contact her. I could always do a write-up for them if you need. Her and her husband are traveling full-time with their band “Matrimony” which is ironic and sweet because they met playing music, got married and made a band about it, and now that’s what they do full time!
Let me know what else you need from me.

Hi there,
If it is not too late, for the Ashlee & James Mountain wedding I submitted to be aired in mid-March, I found one more vendor I didn’t want to leave out. The event planner also did the flowers at the wedding: here is her contact email glhmskids@aol.com if you are able to put that in there… if it’s too late- don’t worry about it.

It’s hard to say really. It’s hard to say whether I love the details of this wedding more than the wicked dancing pictures. Can we call it a tie? Because there’s a heck of a lot amazing DIY inspiration and details from Brooke and Ryan’s vintage wedding. BUT…there seems to be a heck of a lot of rump shakin’ going on too! In any event, there are a number of certainties from this wedding. One being that this is one of the coolest branded weddings we’ve seen here at La Belle Bride. The other being that a great dress, great wedding decor and a great dance party can all coexist. It’s the type of party you wish you were at, isn’t it?!
One last shout out to Jagger Photography – Heather and Grayson, you two are just so talented! We love featuring your work!
