Cool, Country Wedding Ideas

April 20, 2011 in California Wedding, Classic Wedding Style, Outdoor Wedding Ideas by Chantale

I refuse to use the words “country chic” to describe this wedding shoot since it’s cooler than that. Also since I feel like far too many people tack on the word chic to perfectly good adjectives.  I’m also trying to wean myself off using the word rustic every three seconds!  So here I go:  This rural spring wedding shoot is full of eclectic country charm.  More and more we’re seeing that a mishmash of styles makes a tablescape SO interesting.  Mixing vintage antiques and woodsy accents with girlish plate settings is one of my favorite looks.  It will woo you too, I’m sure.  Katie Schoepflin’s photos of all the juicy details against the California countryside are to die for.  TO. DIE. FOR!

Boston Wedding – Classic Wedding Inspiration

November 11, 2010 in Boston Wedding, Classic Wedding Style, wedding photos by Chantale

Mid week inspiration can be scarce come Thursday.  We’re needing help.  Help in the form of some romantico (said with bad Italian accent) wedding photos.  When in need, I know I can always trust that Boston will pull through with some incredible classic wedding inspiration.  As a city, Boston seems to have no shortage of romantic venues and scenery.  Tyra Bleek has my back on this one – as you can see from her incredible shoot we’re featuring today.  I mean THERE’S A GONDOLA people.  Not to mention, thanks to Alden Blair’s event design, the sweetest teal wedding decor to boot.  Toss in a few peacock features and well…my work here is done.  Mid week inspiration: ACHIEVED.   See you tomorrow kids!

Florida Vintage Wedding Pictures – White Wedding Inspiration

October 18, 2010 in Classic Wedding Style, Florida Wedding, Vintage Wedding, Wedding Blog, White Wedding, wedding photos, wedding pictures by Chantale

White weddings are tricky to pull off in my opinion (I’m not talking about you, Billy Idol). But when they’re carefully crafted by a stylish bride and wedding planner, they can be a divinely gorgeous affair of pristine prettiness.  Eric and Ashley’s old Hollywood inspired Florida wedding should go down in the white wedding hall of fame.  Observe from these crisp and ethereal wedding pictures by Jenny Haas the myriads of white details that all lend to the vintage-inspired vision that Ashley had planned for her wedding.  IT’S A WHOLE LOTTA PRETTINESS!

From Ashley, our vintage-inspired bride:  The inspiration for my wedding was “Old Hollywood Vintage”. I wanted sparkle, and shine in the gold and silvers, and then more feminine, soft aspects with the whites, creams, and textures. The bridesmaid’s pale, metallic gold dresses, paired with zebra print shoes, black hair feathers, and black jewelry brought the glamorous old Hollywood look I wanted. The flower girls wore fluffy white tutu skirts paired with white onesies with black rosettes on the front, and fluffy, white feather head wraps. I wanted my attire and the centerpieces (which were over-sized, antique, silver candelabras) to really bring in the vintage aspect into the wedding. I had my great-grandmother’s necklace, elbow length white gloves, a birdcage veil, and a dress that reminded me of a London ball gown from the 1700’s! I wanted everything soft, and light, with sparkle shine, and texture rather than focusing on a specific two color theme.

My sister and I made three, silver, metallic tissue paper pom poms that were hung above the sweetheart table. I had fun coming up with the decor accessories, such as the balloon aisle in the ceremony, the burlap pendant “L-O-V-E” banner, the disco ball above the dance floor (which was from Spencers), the white paper lanterns above the sweetheart table, the mis-match of cake plates, and silver trays for the dessert table, and the combination of my own personal antiques I used for the gift table.

The day went very well! The only little hitch was when Eric (my husband now :) dropped the ring during the ceremony when he was going to place it on my finger. The ring bounced off my dress, and landed in the grass. It was so hard not to laugh, and keep my composure after the incident. Everything turned out well though, and we got through the ceremony!

The favorite part of my wedding was how fun the reception was! All the guests were so excited to be there, and everyone was ready for a good party! Hardly anyone left until our send off. Our dance floor was broken in about ten places after the reception was over. It was such a fun night!

Missouri Real Wedding with Classic Details

September 29, 2010 in Classic Wedding Style, Missouri Wedding, Vintage Wedding, Wedding Blog by Chantale

Let’s mosey on down to Chesterfield, Missouri because thanks to Under Grace Photography, we’ve been invited to Amy and Justin’s wedding!  Ok, not really.  But at least we’ve been invited to take a peek into their day through their amazing wedding photos.  There’s a lot of fall wedding inspiration that we can glean from this Missouri wedding, namely those burgundy bridesmaid dresses!  If that doesn’t scream fall then I don’t know what does.  An especial treat from this wedding was seeing something that I’ve never seen before: custom tissues.  Pretty darn cute.  Particularly if you’re a crying freak at weddings, like I am!  Enjoy these photos guys!
