DIY BC Wedding with Vintage Style
Welcome to Monday, my friends! We’re softening the blow of this first day of the week by delivering a truly gorgeous DIY British Columbia wedding. Jennelle and Adam’s wedding has all the great dashes of vintage style that we all love. LOVE the groom and groomsmen style, complete with caps. And I can’t take my eyes off Jennelle’s bouquet. It’s completely lush, succulents and all! Verbena Floral Design is responsible for the copious amounts of floral beauty today. And we have Elle&R Photography to thank for the vibrant photography today that captured every. single. last. DIVINE detail. This is a stellar vendor list. And we have our bride, Jennelle, to fill us in on how she planned her wedding day:

As we planned our wedding, our main goal was to create an event that reflected us as a couple. We wanted a soft vintage theme, and we wanted our day to be filled with things that were important to us – not things that we felt were expected at a wedding.

Our loved ones were traveling from out of town to be at our island wedding, and we wanted to greet them with an atmosphere that was classy, relaxed, and fun! The feel of the day turned out to be just what we wanted, it was perfect. The stand up reception allowed for us to be more casual and visit with people who we don’t get to see on a regular basis, and the live Celtic band had people of all ages on their feet!

My favorite DIY project was our ceremony bulletins, which were typed booklets. Because I’m in school and had some time pressures, I tapped into other people’s DIY skills through sites such as Etsy. I also visited many antique shops to find unique pieces for our day.

We could not have asked for a more beautiful celebration! As we planned the wedding we constantly reminded ourselves of what’s important in life – people and love! This allowed us to enjoy every part of our day without stressing to make things perfect. But what really made our day were all the amazing souls who were there to support us and send us off with love. The words and hugs from loved ones are what we will never forget it!
