DIY Hot Apple Cider Wedding Favors AND Video
I think it’s obvious by now: I love edible wedding favors. Especially the DIY kind!

It’s time for a mid-week warm up. We’re hit with an epic snow storm and it’s the perfect time to share this hot apple cider wedding favors with you, friends. We put this DIY project together during the winter holidays and had some time on our hands so we’ve got a little video tutorial of the DIY to share with you as well.
Here is the video we put together for this easy, affordable, edible DIY!

Materials:

Materials:
- Cellophane bags
- Round customized labels and instruction tags (you’ll need Illustrator to edit them, darlings)
- Cinnamon sticks
- Apple cider granules
- String or ribbon and scissors

Steps:
- Put your round label on your cellophane bag.
- Place about 1 cup of granules into your bag (if you use a funnel you won’t get any dust on your bag)
- Using ribbon or string attach your instructions and your cinnamon stick to the bag and tie it up tight.
And that’s that! A yummy, affordable wedding favor to warm you up!

Love, love, love this!!!
You are one BEAUTIFUL woman and this video is AMAZING!!!!!!
What a darling favor! Love these for an autumn wedding!
Cute and delicious! What more could you ask for as a guest?
I love this DIY favor, I’m always so thrilled to see something new!
Love the cinnamon sticks on the favor! Will be sharing this idea with some brides!!!
I’m so excited! My daughter and I have been looking for cider mix for her October 2011 wedding favors but have had no luck. By bulk store, do you mean Sam’s or something? Where exactly did you get the apple cider granules? Do tell!
Thanks!
Where did you buy the apple cider granules? I would love to do this for my wedding in Nov. but I can not find that.
Hi guys! I have a local bulk food store where I got the mix but you can try your local bulk store or costco perhaps. A sure bet is searching online. I did a quick search and found a few places that sold bulk cider mix or powder. Hope that helps! Alternatively, doing similar hot chocolate favors would be a great idea with a few marshmallows included!
Chasity: After MUCH searching, I did find this on line on Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00019FXXE/ref=pe_11480_20158710_emwa_email_title_1
I also located a bulk store in I think Warrensburg, MO that we were going to use (I have the details in my wedding folder at home). Don’t know where you live, but hope this helps. I will try to get that info and comment again. My daughter’s wedding got changed from Oct. to July so didn’t need the apple cider mix after all! Best wishes!
Chasity: Me again! I found the address in an email I had. Hope this helps:

This is PERFECT!!! Do you know roughly what it cost per guest to do?
Hi Jen – I suppose it depends on where you get your granules. When we did it, it was definitely under $1 per person.
Hi Chastity – I think that would work!
This is a great idea! I was looking for something creative and affordable instead of filling boxes up with candy. This works for my fall wedding. I love it! Thanks so much.
Hello! This is such a cute idea!! I am wondering how much (oz, Pounds. etc) Would it be for about 120 ? Thanks so much!!
Amber: I wasn’t able to find any bulk cider around where I live, but I did find boxes of individual packets of cider that I painstakingly will be dumping out and pouring into a much cuter packaging that I made! It was from walmart and will still end up being less than a dollar per person, including all my little decorative packaging! =)

Amber: oops, lol, forgot to add that my guest list is 110 and the individual packets are single serving, so I had to get 11 boxes, with 10 packets in each. Hope that helps!
Love the DIY Hot Cider. Where do you get the bulk cider granules?
Thank you.
A very cute favor for parties or wedding using clear cello bags and dressing them up with your own tags and labels. Raffia is another nice ribbon treatment to use for a natural look. Great job!
