England Vintage Wedding – Reception Decor
I wish I lived in the UK sometimes. As I laid out this vintage wedding post – I had a huge surge of UK envy. How come they wear the cutest hats EVER to weddings. And why the heck isn’t that a North American thing? Sigh. I had to face the fact that the English are just far cuter in hats than us. It’s fact. In any event, I’m still a bit gaga (as in drool, not poker face) over this wedding shot by the incredible Emma Case. The reception decor leaves no shortage of inspiration for your brides out there. The perfect marriage between DIY details and classic vintage style. I particularly LOVED the china. I want it. Bad. And was also very much in love with their table numbers. So personalized! Claire enlightens us with a few more details from her wedding:
The wedding day itself truly was the best day of our lives. We completely underestimated how emotional it would be. Having all of the people you love the most in one room (or tent) and to feel all the good wishes from everyone was touching. The speeches were emotional and it was the last time we would see many family and friends before jetting off to Hong Kong. The band were amazing, they just got the whole marquee up! Everyone was up dancing.
Emma did a Photo Booth which was so popular ( the bubbly was working!). Emma has given us the most amazing record of the day, her pictures just take us right back to the day every time we look at them.
After the music had finished we got the taxi to take us for a classy wedding trip to the 24 hour garage! We were exhausted, elated, and hungry. Everything hit us at once ; all the meetings discussing with our suppliers, the changes of mind, moving house, the crazy requests, figuring out where to get water from(!), the emotion of the vows through to Claire dancing on stage with the band and saying lots of goodbyes before heading off to a new life together in Asia. Then, as now, we agreed we’d do it all again in a heartbeat!

Really loving this wedding and the images are lovely!!
There’s nothing about this wedding I’m not wild about-especially those adorable table numbers!
This lovely table would be also great a tea. The colors are fantastic.
I love the Pashmina’s on the back of the chair idea!
All so gorgeous!
