Florida Vintage Wedding Pictures – White Wedding Inspiration
White weddings are tricky to pull off in my opinion (I’m not talking about you, Billy Idol). But when they’re carefully crafted by a stylish bride and wedding planner, they can be a divinely gorgeous affair of pristine prettiness. Eric and Ashley’s old Hollywood inspired Florida wedding should go down in the white wedding hall of fame. Observe from these crisp and ethereal wedding pictures by Jenny Haas the myriads of white details that all lend to the vintage-inspired vision that Ashley had planned for her wedding. IT’S A WHOLE LOTTA PRETTINESS!
From Ashley, our vintage-inspired bride: The inspiration for my wedding was “Old Hollywood Vintage”. I wanted sparkle, and shine in the gold and silvers, and then more feminine, soft aspects with the whites, creams, and textures. The bridesmaid’s pale, metallic gold dresses, paired with zebra print shoes, black hair feathers, and black jewelry brought the glamorous old Hollywood look I wanted. The flower girls wore fluffy white tutu skirts paired with white onesies with black rosettes on the front, and fluffy, white feather head wraps. I wanted my attire and the centerpieces (which were over-sized, antique, silver candelabras) to really bring in the vintage aspect into the wedding. I had my great-grandmother’s necklace, elbow length white gloves, a birdcage veil, and a dress that reminded me of a London ball gown from the 1700’s! I wanted everything soft, and light, with sparkle shine, and texture rather than focusing on a specific two color theme.
My sister and I made three, silver, metallic tissue paper pom poms that were hung above the sweetheart table. I had fun coming up with the decor accessories, such as the balloon aisle in the ceremony, the burlap pendant “L-O-V-E” banner, the disco ball above the dance floor (which was from Spencers), the white paper lanterns above the sweetheart table, the mis-match of cake plates, and silver trays for the dessert table, and the combination of my own personal antiques I used for the gift table.
The day went very well! The only little hitch was when Eric (my husband now
dropped the ring during the ceremony when he was going to place it on my finger. The ring bounced off my dress, and landed in the grass. It was so hard not to laugh, and keep my composure after the incident. Everything turned out well though, and we got through the ceremony!
The favorite part of my wedding was how fun the reception was! All the guests were so excited to be there, and everyone was ready for a good party! Hardly anyone left until our send off. Our dance floor was broken in about ten places after the reception was over. It was such a fun night!

oh and re: the ring dropping. Michael put the ring on my wrong finger! I think those little things break the ice a bit!

Hi,
I am currently writing my dissertation on destination weddings. I am looking for blogs about peoples stories of getting married abroad (a journey leading up to the wedding and talking about it after). I would be very grateful if anyone could tell if they know of any blogs like this?
Thanks

LOVE the colors and style in this shoot!!! Thanks for sharing.
This is such a wonderful resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing web sites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free. It?s the old what goes around comes around routine.
