San Jose California Outdoor Wedding Part 1
The weird thing is I don’t even plan these things sometimes. I just happened to have two San Jose weddings back to back. Both of these wedding are totally different but they both ooze of personality. I’m really in love with today’s California wedding. Honestly, it just looked like so. much. fun. Where to start? There were so many crazy awesome shots from this wedding by Viera Photographics. I had to make it into a two parter. So I thought we’d start things out with Ryan and Dianne’s wedding by showing some of the gorgeous vintage-inspired pre-wedding shots. I adore them! Dianne spills the beans about all her fav moments of her wedding:
STORY: We met at work when our companies did a project together. We first saw each other from afar and were instantly smitten. A coworker spied our attraction and set us up with a surprise adventure to the Hollywood Bowl to see Arcade Fire. We spent the whole night talking only to find out we were living parallel lives. We grew up in neighboring towns and even had mutual childhood friends. We both traveled to Europe during the same time period, both majored in art, and had lived in the same cities at the same time. So we were not surprised to learn we were even living just a few blocks away from each other. Talk about waiting until just the right time to finally meet. Our love story peaked 9 months later with a proposal in Paris overlooking St. Severin church and the Eiffel Tower!
INSPIRATION: The big thing was color, paper and fun! And lots of it. We emphasized that it was a BBQ and celebrated the theme by serving ribs and apple cobbler and we set various lawn games like badminton and bocce ball. We even had a piñata full of old-timey party favors like harmonicas and candy dots. Also a big part of the inspiration was the Parker grounds itself. The property is so graceful and a statement already so we wanted to showcase the environment and highlight the reasons why we chose to have the wedding there in the first place.
ENJOYED: We really enjoyed the planning of the wedding from the very beginning. We aren’t going to lie, it definitely had its stressful moments and was one of the hardest things we ever had to do. But it was something we were doing together and we really focused on that part of it. We stretched our creativity and turned every part of the wedding into a personalized expression of our love, personalities and life together. We are really proud of the ideas, solutions and accomplishments of the year planning and of that magical day. It couldn’t have been more rewarding.
SO MUCH MORE to come of this amazing day. No joke…the party just got started…

I love the bride’s fishnet’s and shoes! So cute!
I can only wish my brides would have unlimited budgets.
